Photo: Will a Monument Dedicated to Armenian-Russian Friendship Be Installed in Yerevan?

Ernes Avanesov, a member of the "My Step" faction of the Yerevan City Council, wrote on his Facebook page: "Dear Yerevan residents, in order to express my position as a member of the Yerevan City Council, I have received the sketch of this monument along with a letter from the head of the Prime Minister's Office stating that a monument dedicated to Armenian-Russian friendship is planned to be installed in the park opposite the City Hall, at Russia Square. I personally believe that it is the residents of Yerevan who should decide what is placed in their city and whether it should be placed at all. Therefore, I ask Yerevan residents to express their stance on this matter by leaving a comment under my post, saying FOR or AGAINST:"
