Peskov on Putin-Pashinyan Phone Call

The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, and the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, did not discuss the possibility of increasing the CSTO troops in Kazakhstan during their phone conversation. According to ‘Armenpress’, citing ‘Interfax’, this was announced by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian president.

Peskov noted that yesterday and today, President Putin has had several phone conversations with leaders of CSTO member states. He stated that Putin has had multiple phone calls with the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

“The situation in Kazakhstan and joint actions within the framework of the CSTO mandate to combat international terrorism and ensure order, as well as ensuring the safety of Kazakh citizens, were discussed,” Peskov said.
