Media outlets have released footage from yesterday near the presidential residence in Almaty. This area witnessed exchanges of gunfire between radicals and military personnel, resulting in casualties and injuries on both sides.

It is noteworthy that the authorities in Almaty have announced the commencement of anti-terrorist operations in the city, aimed at restoring order and ensuring security.

Sputnik Kazakhstan reports that gunfire was heard in Almaty square yesterday, after which the military took control of the situation. It is noted that around 50 units of equipment have gathered in the square, including armored personnel carriers, armored vehicles, and trucks armed with military personnel.
