No Armenian soldier should go to Kazakhstan under any conditions, at any time: Robert Ghazondyan

Political scientist Robert Ghazondyan stated on his Facebook page: “The CSTO has once again openly demonstrated its nature, not as a military structure, but as an internal police force. Previously, Armenia's participation was formal and merely aimed at not disrupting relations with Russia, but it has now become dangerous.

No Armenian soldier should go to Kazakhstan under any conditions, at any time. This poses a threat to the Armenian statehood that we have not faced since 1991. If an order is given to send Armenian soldiers to Kazakhstan, the legitimacy of the Armenian government will come into question, leading to unpredictable consequences already for Yerevan. The Kazakh people have the right to make their choice just as we did in 2018, regardless of whether it is deemed correct or incorrect in the Kremlin, the White House, or the Élysée Palace. Armenia has no moral or any other obligation to interfere in that process.”
