It is Foolish to Compare the Events in Kazakhstan with the 2018 Revolution in Armenia: Taron Chakhoyan
What is happening these days in Kazakhstan is simply foolish to compare with the Revolution that took place in Armenia in 2018. This opinion was expressed by Taron Chakhoyan, the Deputy Head of the Prime Minister's Office, addressing the current situation.
“Some are deliberately trying to draw parallels between these processes, naturally aiming to gain political dividends. However, the footage of armed protesters clashing with police and military forces, as well as reports about the infiltration of terrorist groups, clearly expose everything that is happening in Kazakhstan. It is sheer naivety to entertain the cheap speculations that suggest what is occurring in Kazakhstan this week can be compared to the 2018 Revolution in Armenia, which was carried out exclusively through peaceful demonstrations. Of course, it is important to implement peaceful protests and political processes, but violence and armed clashes are condemnable and unacceptable,” Chakhoyan wrote.
