How Are Armenians Living in Kazakhstan? Auroranews Attempts to Clarify Details
As reported earlier, the situation in Kazakhstan remains tense, with new developments occurring every moment.
Auroranews attempted to clarify with Vahan Hunanian, the spokesperson for the Armenian Foreign Ministry, whether everything is alright with Armenians living in Kazakhstan and if there are any casualties, but we were unable to establish contact with him.
The phone number for the Armenian Embassy in Kazakhstan is also not functional at this time, as communication means are blocked in that country.
Previously, former MP Arman Abovyan noted: “Thank God, there seems to be no information that there are casualties or injuries among Armenians. It is very important now to maintain stable communication with our people and take all necessary measures to ensure the safety of locals if needed. Last night, I managed to contact our compatriots in Almaty and Karaganda, who said there is no panic; they are in contact with each other and the Armenian Embassy, but the situation is extremely tense.”
