Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Issues Statement
We are following the armed clashes in Kazakhstan with concern and anxiety. This was stated today, January 6, by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia regarding the events taking place in Kazakhstan.
“We are following the armed clashes in Kazakhstan with concern and anxiety. Reports of the infiltration of terrorist groups are alarming. We strongly condemn the violence and are convinced that it cannot be a means to resolve political issues.
We believe that steps must be taken to prevent further clashes and to restore an atmosphere of tolerance necessary for peaceful political processes in the country, including the carrying out of peaceful assemblies and the realization of the right to express opinions,” the statement reads.
