In 2021, We Have Another Unfinished Problem Left: Torosyan
The former Minister of Health and current MP Arsen Torosyan writes on his Facebook page:
“In 2021, we have another unfinished problem left, which we need to continue more vigorously in 2022, so that instead of the relatively satisfactory situation we have today, we do not face serious waves again. The issue is, of course, vaccinations against the coronavirus. Unfortunately, we are still at the lowest rank among all our neighbors and in the broader region, with 23% fully vaccinated and 31% with one dose of the population (the data may be 2-3 days old).
I ask and urge all our unvaccinated citizens to GET VACCINATED. The Ministry of Health and the government have provided a variety of safe and effective vaccines across the country, which are completely free of charge.
I also urge those citizens who have been vaccinated over 6 months ago to receive their 3rd dose (booster) so that their protection against the disease remains strong. We have all witnessed how our unvaccinated relatives or close ones suffer severely from the disease or, unfortunately, die because of it, despite receiving the highest quality medical assistance. This has been proven around the world, and this evidence has been brought up multiple times; I do not wish to revisit them again.
It is also important to remember the exhaustion of our healthcare system, which has been operating in emergency mode for almost 2 years now, especially the COVID hospitals.”
