Another Child Dies from Coronavirus in Georgia

A four-month-old infant infected with the coronavirus has died at the Tsitsishvili Children's Hospital in Tbilisi. The child was admitted to the hospital on December 31, but doctors were unable to save him. Preliminary data indicates that the child was infected by a family member. According to doctors, the child's condition was exacerbated by a pre-existing illness.

Currently, around ten children are being treated in the intensive care unit of Tsitsishvili Hospital, with one of them in critical condition.

On January 4, another child also died from COVID-19 at the Iashvili Central Children's Hospital in Tbilisi.
