Turkish Pegasus Applies for Yerevan-Istanbul Flight
The Turkish Pegasus airline has submitted an application to the Civil Aviation Committee of Armenia to operate flights from Yerevan to Istanbul. This was announced to Sputnik Armenia by Sona Harutyunyan, the spokesperson for the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of Armenia.
"Yes, Turkish Pegasus has applied to operate two flights per week starting from February," she stated. However, Sona Harutyunyan did not specify when a decision would be made, noting that the Civil Aviation Committee is currently reviewing the application.
It is worth mentioning that prior to this, the Turkish side had announced that an application had been submitted for Yerevan-Istanbul-Yerevan flights by one Turkish and one Armenian company. On December 30, it became known that the aviation authorities of the Republic of Armenia had allowed the company Flyone Armenia to operate three charter flights per week along the Yerevan-Istanbul-Yerevan route.
