«Azerbaijan's Leadership Still Harbors Fear of Us» - Vardan Voskanian

Iranologist Vardan Voskanian's remarks: “No matter how surprising it may seem, the leadership of the artificial entity called Azerbaijan still harbors a pathological fear of us. Almost every day, the propaganda machine of Baku's authoritarian regime issues threats, claiming that in the case of an Armenian 'revanchism,' it would supposedly be 'very bad for Armenia,' that 'Armenia will cease to exist,' and that 'with a minor counter-terrorism operation, Azerbaijan could destroy the Armenian army,' along with other similar nonsense. All of these claims culminate in the idea that Armenia, under no circumstances, should only refrain from 'revanchism' but should not even think about it.

The logical conclusion from all this is one: if everything is so easy and straightforward, then it would be very convenient for Baku's authoritarian leader to push Armenia toward 'revanchism,' because it is understandable, isn’t it, that in that case Azerbaijan could, for instance, take Yerevan, which is officially proclaimed as an 'ancient Azerbaijani city.' However, no, this leader of Baku is against Armenian 'revanchism,' thus both he and his propaganda machine are engaged in an obvious attempt to hide their own fears through blatant arrogance.”
