Pensions and Benefits Increase Starting January 1

Starting January 1, the amounts for minimum pensions received by beneficiaries, as well as benefits for childcare of children under two years, old-age pensions, disability benefits, and benefits for the loss of a breadwinner, have been increased. Thus, as of January 1, 2022, the minimum pension amount is set at 28,600 AMD, up from 26,500 AMD.

The military pension amounts for conscripts with disabilities are as follows:

  • For those with a first-group disability: 43,000 AMD (previously 40,000 AMD)
  • For those with a second-group disability: 33,000 AMD (previously 30,000 AMD)
  • For those with a third-group disability: 30,000 AMD (previously 27,000 AMD)

In the case of the death (killing) of a conscript, the pension amount for the family member who lost their breadwinner is set to 30,000 AMD (up from 27,000 AMD).

As of January 1, 2022, the benefits for old age, disability, and loss of a breadwinner are set at 28,600 AMD (up from 26,500 AMD), while for children recognized as disabled, the amount is 37,000 AMD (up from 26,500 AMD).

The benefit for childcare for children under two years old is also increasing: starting January 1, a parent on childcare leave will receive 28,600 AMD instead of the current 26,500 AMD.
