Iranian President Reaffirms Support for Armenia
The cooperation between Iran and Armenia and the promotion of economic relations will serve the interests of all parties and contribute to regional security. This was stated by Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, as reported by Tasnim.
On Monday, during a phone conversation with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Raisi emphasized the necessity of developing economic and trade relations between the two countries.
"The expansion of cooperation and economic exchanges between Tehran and Yerevan will satisfy the interests of all parties and will undoubtedly contribute to security," said the Iranian president.
He also spoke about the delicate situation prevailing in the South Caucasus, stating, "The Islamic Republic of Iran has a principled policy of supporting the territorial integrity and sovereignty of countries."
The Iranian president reaffirmed his support for Armenia in maintaining its sovereignty over its territories and roads, and welcomed the progress in negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
"We hope that other issues between the two countries will also be resolved peacefully within the framework of international principles and laws, and that we will witness peace, stability, and security in the region," he added.
