Armenia: The Favorite Destination of Russian Tourists – Second Most Preferred Place for New Year's Holidays

The most popular destinations for Russians to celebrate the New Year 2022 have been Sochi, Armenia, the Maldives, and the Seychelles.

It has been noted that for organizing domestic vacations, Russian residents predominantly chose Sochi, as well as other coastal cities in the Krasnodar region, Saint Petersburg, and Kaliningrad.

At the same time, against the backdrop of unwavering interest in traveling within their country, there has been an increasing demand for trips to nearby countries. In this context, Armenia has become a leader during the New Year holidays.

In terms of organizing vacations to distant countries during the holidays, Russians predominantly preferred the Maldives and the Seychelles, followed by the Dominican Republic. The Caribbean islands are also among the favored destinations for Russians. Additionally, there is interest in the UAE, particularly Dubai, as well as Jordan and Morocco.
