30,000 Dram Fine for Selling Products in Plastic Bags: Law Now in Effect
Last spring, in April, the National Assembly made an amendment to the Law on Trade and Services. According to the amendment, starting from January 1, 2022, the sale of plastic bags with a thickness of less than 50 microns is prohibited in retail and other trading locations.
Entrepreneurs who continue to use plastic bags of less than 50 microns thickness after January 1, 2022, except for bags made from recycled materials and bags designed for weighing, will face an administrative fine of 30,000 Dram. This reminder comes from the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Armenia.
