Meeting Between Armenian and Turkish Envoys Scheduled for January, Çavuşoğlu
The meeting of special envoys appointed for the normalization of relations between Armenia and Turkey may take place in January. This was announced by Turkey's Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, as reported by TASS.
"The first meeting could occur in January, but the exact date has not yet been confirmed," he stated.
Earlier, Armenia’s Foreign Ministry indicated that the parties are considering Moscow as a potential venue for the meeting.
It is noteworthy that Armenia has appointed Deputy Speaker Ruben Rubinyan as its special envoy for the normalization of relations with Turkey. The Turkish side has designated former Ambassador to the U.S. Serdar Kılıç as their envoy.
