Court Invalidates Election Results for Parakar Community Leader
The court has upheld the petition filed by the members of the Parakar community council of the CPPK and the 'David Minasyan' alliance concerning the election results. This was reported on Facebook by former MP Karen Grigoryan, who also published the court’s decision.
It is noteworthy that as a result of the elections held on December 5, the 'Living Country' party received 10 mandates, the alliance of 'David Minasyan' parties received 9 mandates, and 2 mandates were awarded to the 'Civil Contract'.
The candidate for the position of community mayor was Volodya Grigoryan from the 'Living Country' party, who was elected with 10 votes. Subsequently, members supporting David Minasyan's candidacy came and elected the mayor with 11 votes, which is more than 50 percent.
On December 23, supporters of the 'Living Country' party gathered in the courtyard of the Parakar culture house, where the inauguration of their candidate was to take place. However, police did not allow them to enter the building, and the inauguration was organized outside instead. On the same day, the 'David Minasyan' alliance appealed to the court to invalidate the election results.
