36000 Dram Monthly Benefit for Disabled Former Servicemen: New Government Decision

Today, during its regular session, the Government of Armenia adopted a decision to provide a monthly benefit of 36,000 dram to disabled former servicemen recognized due to the adversary's offensive actions.

The government clarified the categories of individuals entitled to receive this benefit and aligned it with other legal acts regulating similar relations in order to ensure that those disabled as a result of participation in the defense of Armenia are properly recognized.

Accordingly, it is proposed that the entitlement to the benefit extends to cases of acquiring a disease, sustaining an injury, or suffering mutilation while on combat duty or performing special assignments along the line of contact, with a causal link to adversary actions.

As a result, the legal regulations will be applicable to legal relations arising from July 1, 2020, and thereafter. The list of necessary documents for granting the benefit has also been clarified. Thus, the categories of individuals entitled to receive the benefit will be specified, and those disabled as a result of the adversary's offensive actions will be granted a monthly benefit of 36,000 dram.
