Arush Arushanyan Sends Greeting Message

The Mayor of Goris, Arush Arushanyan, has sent a congratulatory message to the residents of Goris from the detention center, assuring them that nothing will hinder the path of community development, and everything will be done for generations to live in a peaceful, safe, and prosperous community.

“Dear compatriots, in two days we will close another difficult chapter in our history together. The past year has been a period filled with severe trials for each of us: the security issues facing our country and borders have deepened in 2021, and the socio-economic crisis has been worsening day by day. However, our unwavering will to withstand these challenges does not falter. We do not shy away from the trials that have befallen us, and we will do everything possible for our generations to live in a peaceful, safe, and prosperous community,” stated Arush Arushanyan in his message to the residents of Goris.

“As in previous years, in the upcoming year, we will continue to advance on the roadmap of the concurrent development of our beloved Goris community, multiplying our efforts, and nothing will be able to hinder us on this path. We will do everything to ensure that our generations live in a peaceful, safe, and prosperous community. We are obliged to pass on our national traditions and the aspiration to realize new and bright goals to them.

In 2022, we will also continue to enhance our Goris community, ensuring dynamic development in all sectors so that we achieve tangible progress across all domains by the next New Year.

The needs of our beloved Gorisians will be at the forefront of our activities. For two years now, our lives have changed, becoming incomplete and inadequate, and that will remain the case for as long as the enemy-occupied territories, Shushi and Hadrut, are not ours, as long as the fate of Artsakh remains uncertain, as long as there are families mourning their lost sons and waiting for the missing, as long as the enemy continues to hold our brothers hostage, and as long as gunfire can be heard near our borders...

Each of our personal goals and dreams is interconnected with the peaceful coexistence of Armenia and Artsakh. Throughout our 5,000-year history, we have also faced extremely challenging times, losing vast territories; much of our historical homeland is not ours. However, we have also had resounding victories: thanks to our patriotic and homeland-loving ancestors, we have won fierce battles, demonstrating our strength and power to the enemy, achieving a Sea-to-Sea Armenia...

Now, more than ever, it is necessary to unite for the security of our homeland, for the preservation of our state and statehood, and for the sustainable development of the Armenian world.

Dear Gorisians, aside from the traditional blessings passed down to generations (health, success, and new achievements), I wish for lasting peace on our borders, and I wish resilience and spiritual and moral fortitude to the Armenian soldier and volunteer protecting our borders.

I want to extend my special congratulations to the Armenian soldier guarding the borders as well as to the mothers of our devoted children and heroes, and their families.

Dear Gorisians, let the few achievements noted over the past year serve as the foundation for all of us to begin the coming year with renewed strength and enthusiasm. I hope that we welcome the New Year with hope for tomorrow, filled with light, sincere love, and faith in God.

May 2022 be a year of Renaissance, reevaluation, the realization of national aspirations, overcoming existing crises, and achieving historical victories through creative work for our nation.

May peace be unbroken in Armenia and Artsakh. May God grant us the wisdom to build the bright future of our community and our country in an environment of solidarity, mutual respect, and understanding. Let us be optimistic, face the New Year with patience and confidence in our strengths. Happy New Year and Merry Christmas. May God protect us all,” reads Arush Arushanyan's message.
