Bloody Body of 64-Year-Old Woman Found in Apartment in Charentsavan

On December 27, 2021, at 10:55 AM, the bloody body of a 64-year-old woman was discovered in an apartment in one of the buildings in the 3rd district of Charentsavan. An investigative-operational group immediately dispatched to the scene found the body of the homeowner in the living room of the indicated apartment, with a cut wound around her neck.

Details have been reported by the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia. "A criminal case has been initiated by the Charentsavan investigation department of the Investigative Committee of Kotayk region, under part 1 of Article 104 of the RA Criminal Code, within the framework of which investigative and other procedural actions are being carried out to clarify the circumstances of the murder of a 64-year-old resident of Charentsavan. A notification regarding the incident was received on December 27, 2021, at 10:55 AM, informing the Charentsavan division of the RA Police that the bloody body of a 64-year-old woman had been found in an apartment in the 3rd district of Charentsavan."

The investigative-operational group, which quickly arrived at the scene, confirmed the presence of the body, noting the cut wound around the neck of the homeowner. A number of investigative and other procedural actions have been undertaken, including appointing a forensic examination of the body and collecting samples. Necessary measures are being taken to clarify all circumstances of the incident as well as to identify and locate the person presumed to have committed the crime. The preliminary investigation is ongoing," the statement said.
