Political analyst Vardan Voskanyan has written: 'Judging by the information that leaks from the propaganda channels of the official 'victorious supreme commander' (not to mention the Sultan Mehmed Fatih) in Baku, special attention is being paid to the establishment of special mountain infantry units within the corps of the Azerbaijani army.

Specifically, an interview with a Turkish expert published in one of these propaganda outlets reveals that a military unit recently opened in Hadrut, which is under Azerbaijani temporary occupation, is also for the servicing and training of such units.

Overall, it should be noted that the creation of units capable of conducting special operations in mountainous terrain is considered extremely important within Azerbaijan, and this process involves Turkey and Pakistan, with the former having serious experience with Kurdish partisans in mountainous conditions, and the latter having experience in battles against India in high-altitude regions.'
