Over 2500 Flights Canceled Worldwide Due to Omicron Variant
Today, airlines around the world have canceled over 2500 flights due to the Omicron variant of the coronavirus. According to data from Flight Aware, which monitors flight operations, the majority of canceled flights—958—are attributed to the United States. This includes both domestic and international flights.
American CNN reports that the cancellations are largely happening due to a shortage of staff caused by the coronavirus.
