NATO Prepares for Armed Conflict Against Russia, Says Russian Deputy Defense Minister
NATO is preparing for armed conflict against Russia. This was announced by Russian Deputy Defense Minister Alexander Fomin during a briefing for military attachés and representatives of foreign embassies accredited in Moscow.
“The military construction of the alliance has been fully rearmed for preparing for a large-scale armed conflict with Russia,” said the lieutenant general.
He clarified that the North Atlantic Alliance directly names our country as the main source of 'coalition security threats' in its documents, including in the 2019 military strategy.
Moreover, as Fomin noted, the Rome Declaration, which states that Russia and NATO do not consider each other as adversaries, is still in effect. The sides confirmed this at the summit held in Lisbon in 2010.
