Decision on Release of Arush Arushanyan to Be Announced Tomorrow

The General Jurisdiction Court of Syunik Province, sitting in Goris and presided over by Judge Gnel Gasparyan, today deliberated on the request to change the detention measure of Goris Mayor Arush Arushanyan. The "Arush Arushanyan" alliance reports that the court has gone into a consultative room to make a decision. The decision will be announced tomorrow at 11:00 AM.

It is noteworthy that the mayor of Goris has been charged under Article 35-154.2, part 4, point 2, Article 38-149, part 2, point 4, and Article 38-154.2, part 3 of the RA Criminal Code. According to the Special Investigative Service, during the pre-investigation of the criminal case being investigated, it was established that A.A., the head of the Goris community and the 32nd candidate on the electoral list of the "Armenia" alliance, prepared to commit a serious crime, namely to bribe two or more voters, based on personal and group interests in order to secure the maximum votes for this alliance and achieve the desired outcome in the elections.
