‘Armenia’ Alliance Proposes Increasing Minimum Wage from 68,000 to 100,000 Dram

The ‘Armenia’ faction of the National Assembly proposes to set the minimum wage at 100,000 dram instead of the current 68,000 dram. The corresponding draft law is being presented on the official website of the National Assembly.

“This draft proposes to set the amount of the minimum wage at 100,000 dram. This proposal is based on several socio-economic justifications, particularly considering the minimum consumption basket value calculated according to the composition, structure, and energy content developed by the Ministry of Health, as well as the level of poverty,” the justification states.

The proposal suggests that the draft come into force on July 1, 2022.
