Roads Closed and Impassable in Armenia
The Ministry of Emergency Situations informs that there are closed and impassable roads within the territory of Armenia.
The road leading from the Amberd Fortress to the Karakaj Lake in the Aragatsotn region is closed. The Vardenyats Pass is impassable for trucks with trailers due to the presence of black ice (it is necessary to use snow chains).
Black ice is also present in the Dilijan bends of the Tavush region and on the Gyumri-Bavra road in the Shirak region.
On December 25, from 12:30 PM to 5:00 PM, the section of road from the crossroads of Haghbat village (1 km) to the Georgian border (M-6 highway) will be closed due to rock blasting works.
Regarding Lars, according to information from the Emergency Situations Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is closed for all types of vehicles.
Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.
