Pope Francis Addresses Prisoners of War in Christmas Message
On December 25th, on the occasion of the Christmas holiday, Pope Francis spoke about prisoners of war in his annual traditional message to the City and the World.
According to the Armenian Embassy in the Holy See, the Pope invited humanity to dialogue, unity, and peace in his address. He highlighted the ongoing conflicts in the world, the dangers of refusing dialogue, and the necessity to provide humanitarian aid to those forced to leave their homes.
His Holiness Francis specifically mentioned in his message: “Son of Bethlehem, allow that many prisoners of war from recent conflicts - both civilians and soldiers, as well as those imprisoned for political reasons - may soon return home.”
