The newspaper 'Hraparak' reports: 'We had written that Nikol Pashinyan is searching for a strong candidate for the Syunik governor, which is why the current governor Melikset Poghosyan decided to go on vacation from December 12 to 24 to stay away from trouble. However, it turns out that he is also 'showing teeth' to the authorities from below. On December 20, the deputy governor Karo Avanesyan canceled the earlier decision that had imposed a 'strict reprimand' on the head of the education, culture, and sports department, Mary Gandalyan.

The matter is that Gandalyan is considered to be the 'person' of former Syunik governor and member of the National Assembly from the 'Armenia' faction Vahe Hakobyan, who does not hide his political views. Prior to the Kapan municipal elections, under the direction of Suren Papikyan and Prime Minister's chief advisor Arayik Harutyunyan, a service investigation was initiated against Gandalyan by the governorate's chief secretary Edgar Martirosyan. They attempted to intimidate her and possibly dismiss her from work. As a result of the investigation, a strict reprimand was issued for tardiness, but her lawyer appealed the decision, and on December 20, it was canceled.'
