Recognition of the Armenian Genocide Has Never Been a Precondition for Normalizing Armenian-Turkish Relations: Prime Minister
Recognition of the Armenian Genocide has never been a precondition for normalizing Armenian-Turkish relations or for the opening of borders. This was stated by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during an online press conference.
“Our government has reiterated the response to this question, which has been formulated since the early 1990s, that Armenia is ready to normalize relations with Turkey without preconditions. Regarding the international recognition of the Genocide, we have clearly outlined it in our government program,” he noted.
