How Many People Have Actually Died From Coronavirus in Armenia?
The newspaper 'Joghourd' reports that the Ministry of Health has yet to summarize how many people have actually died from coronavirus. This was stated by the ministry's press secretary, Hripsime Khachatryan, in an interview with 'Joghourd'. 'We will present new data after the New Year; at this moment, we are still compiling statistics,' she said.
It should be noted that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had already instructed the minister regarding the conclusion related to death statistics back on December 2, and the issue was raised months ago by the head of the Permanent Commission on Human Rights Protection and Public Affairs, Taguhi Tovmasyan, from the podium of the National Assembly.
Prime Minister Pashinyan referred to the same numbers and statistics presented by MP Tovmasyan. Furthermore, the issue will also be investigated in the General Prosecutor's Office upon the completion of the service check, as per the Prime Minister's directive.
What the working group pointed out by Avanesyan is currently engaged in remains known only to them. It is clear that the results of their work have not been visible to anyone for months.
