Earthquake 14 km Northeast of Tashir

On December 24, at 21:17 local time (17:17 GMT), the Seismic Protection Territorial Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia registered an earthquake in the border area between Armenia and Georgia, located 14 km northeast of Tashir, at geographical coordinates 41.14° N latitude and 44.44° E longitude, with a focus depth of 10 km and a magnitude of 2.4.

The intensity of the tremors in the epicenter zone was measured at 3 on the Richter scale.

The earthquake was felt in the towns of Stepanavan and Tashir, and the village of Saratovka, with an intensity of 3.
