WHO Advises Against Universal Covid-19 Vaccination for Children and Adolescents

The World Health Organization (WHO) advises against implementing universal vaccination for children and adolescents against Covid-19. This statement comes from the Strategic Advisory Group of Experts on Immunization, as reported by RIA Novosti.

It is noted that children are least affected by severe forms of the disease. “Currently, the WHO does not recommend universal vaccinations for children and adolescents, as the burden of severe disease in this age group is low, and high coverage of vaccinations in groups at greater risk for severe illnesses has not yet been achieved in all countries,” the statement reads.
