Two Arrested for Armed Robbery Against Iranian National in Yerevan
On December 22, officers from the Criminal Investigation Department of the Police of Yerevan, in cooperation with their counterparts from the Central Police Department, managed to apprehend two of the four suspects wanted in connection with an armed robbery that took place a day earlier against an Iranian citizen.
According to Shamshyan.com, the police arrested 37-year-old Gevorg A. and 35-year-old Arthur H., who are suspected of carrying out the aforementioned crime. They have since been detained.
The authorities have also identified the other two accomplices and are conducting necessary operational and investigative measures to locate them and recover the stolen goods. According to photojournalist reports, the two are young residents of Yerevan, aged 24 and 23.
Earlier reports indicated that on December 21, an armed robbery occurred in Yerevan. Around 12:10 AM, a 28-year-old Iranian national named Mojada Sh. approached the Central Police Department and reported that five unknown individuals, one of whom was armed with a knife, threatened him and stole his bag on Parpetzi Street.
Mojada Sh. told the police and investigators that his bag contained books, his mobile phone, a wallet with cash, and more. Further details can be found on the website.
