Tbilisi and Baku Sign Military Cooperation Program
The Minister of Defense of Georgia, Juansher Burchuladze, who is on an official visit to Azerbaijan, met with Azerbaijani counterpart General-Colonel Zakir Hasanov. According to "Alik Media," this information is disseminated by the Ministry of Defense of Georgia.
According to the agency, the Georgian Defense Minister expressed gratitude to Zakir Hasanov for the strong support provided for Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
“During the meeting, the ministers discussed regional and global security issues, addressing threats and challenges. Both sides emphasized the necessity of deepening and strengthening bilateral and multilateral international cooperation. In particular, during the bilateral discussion, the participation of Azerbaijani military personnel in multinational exercises and collaboration in military education were highlighted. It was noted that the trilateral joint exercises and expert-level meetings between Azerbaijan, Turkey, and Georgia further bring the armed forces of the two countries closer and enhance cooperation,” the statement said.
Later, Juansher Burchuladze and Zakir Hasanov signed the bilateral military cooperation program for 2022.
