France Records Over 84,000 Covid-19 Cases in One Day

France has reported more than 84,200 new Covid-19 cases in a single day. This information was shared by French media citing data provided by officials.

According to Interfax, this marks a record daily increase for the country. It is noted that the number of new cases in the last 24 hours is 28 percent higher compared to the data recorded on the same day last week.

During the same period, 170 people died as a result of the coronavirus infection.

Meanwhile, it has been reported that 21.2 million people in France have already received the third dose of the coronavirus vaccine.

In recent weeks, many European countries have seen an uptick in Covid-19 cases, which is particularly associated with the rapidly spreading Omicron variant. Several European countries are implementing restrictive measures.
