Details from the Closed Meeting of the Ruling Faction and Nikol Pashinyan

This was yet another meeting; we meet with the Prime Minister once a month to discuss the events that have taken place during that period. This was stated by the member of the National Assembly from the "Civil Contract" faction, Hovik Agazaryan, during a conversation with NEWS.am regarding today's closed meeting of the ruling faction with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

"This meeting was dedicated to the trilateral meeting held in Brussels. The Prime Minister presented quite a few details that we were not officially aware of. The processes are such that you cannot say with certainty what will happen at the next moment; the parties may change their positions during the discussions, and so on. The progress is that an agreement has been reached regarding the operation of the railway, and later, issues regarding unblocking through other means will be addressed. These are not final; there is no agreement on any document to be signed, but nevertheless, they are encouraging, and no deadlines have been fixed," said the deputy.

Regarding the anticipated negotiations between Armenia and Turkey, according to the deputy, it was not particularly discussed—there was only a brief mention.

"There is nothing extraordinary there, and you never know where these discussions will lead; they are not negotiations, but in any case, as a country that has adopted the process of strengthening stable peace in the region, we must engage in such communications, not forgetting a lot of things. There are no clear expectations; it is too early to talk about it. There are plenty of cases where conflicting parties have negotiated on completely different issues, but then entirely different things have happened. We must approach such processes from one side, while also not forgetting our security issues," Agazaryan added.
