A New Candidate Emerges in Vedi: Is the Civil Contract Party Abandoning Garik Sargsyan? - "Hraparak"
The newspaper "Hraparak" reports: "In Vedi, as known, the Civil Contract Party faced a fiasco and has thought of nothing new than going for new elections. It turns out that the regional authorities are inclined to participate in the upcoming elections with a new candidate, which will likely be held in February. One of the active proponents of presenting a new candidate is particularly Ararat province governor Razmik Teyvonyan, who is in irreconcilable relations with Garik Sargsyan. He suggests forming a coalition between the 'Republic' and the Civil Contract parties, which would be led by his protégé Manvel Ghazaryan, the owner of 'Vedi Alco.' The latter financed his friend Aram Sargsyan's party for the December 5 elections.
On the other hand, as of yesterday, it was reported in the Vedi community administration that Garik Sargsyan would be appointed as the interim head of the community. Until new elections, the community is in a state of lawlessness. The former community leaders, some of whom were part of the 'My Strong Community' party and have since taken seats in the council, are in a state of uncertainty. The fact is that the authorities of those community leaders have been suspended, and no certificate, application, or transaction can be conducted until new elections and a new council appoints representatives."
