What Property Has Newly Elected Mayor Hrachya Sargsyan Declared?
As already reported, the Yerevan City Council expressed no confidence in Mayor Hayk Marutyan with 44 votes in favor, and his powers were terminated. The council elected Hrachya Sargsyan from the Civil Contract party as the new mayor of Yerevan. Previously, he held the position of deputy mayor.
According to MediaHub, the newly elected mayor Hrachya Sargsyan has declared real estate, specifically an apartment in Ajapnyak, which he purchased in 2017. Sargsyan has also declared assets totaling 400,000 Armenian Drams and $4,500 in cash.
As deputy mayor, Hrachya Sargsyan’s salary amounted to 6,686,131 Armenian Drams, with loans received totaling $144. The declaration of the new mayor's wife, Nina Harutyunyan, shows only jointly acquired real estate—an apartment in Ajapnyak—and 1,000,000 Armenian Drams.
