Two Russian Soldiers Killed by Avalanche in South Ossetia

Two Russian soldiers have lost their lives due to an avalanche in South Ossetia. Earlier, Vadim Astafiev, the head of the press service of the Southern Military District, reported that five soldiers from the South Military District were caught in an avalanche on the southern side of the Transcaucasian railway portal. Three of them received first aid, and their condition has been assessed as satisfactory.

Search efforts are ongoing for the remaining two soldiers, with 20 personnel and two units of special equipment involved in the operation.
