Russian Armed Forces in Artsakh and Syria are Guardians of Peace: Shoigu

The Russian military contingent in Syria is a guarantor of peace in the country, as is the personnel of the Russian Armed Forces stationed in Artsakh. This was announced by the Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu, as reported by TASS.

“For more than a year, Russian peacekeepers have been creating conditions for the establishment of peaceful life in Artsakh and the surrounding areas, helping to restore relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia. At this time, no serious incidents have occurred,” said the minister at a plenary meeting of the Public Council under the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
