Iran's Foreign Minister and Aliyev Meet
The agenda for bilateral cooperation between Iran and Azerbaijan is extensive, and I am confident that this cooperation will yield good results. This was stated by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev during his meeting with Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian in Baku, as reported by Mehr.
President Aliyev noted that during a meeting with the Iranian President in Ashgabat, the friendship and brotherhood between Iran and Azerbaijan were reaffirmed, and the necessity of taking further steps to develop relations in all political, economic, trade, and cultural areas was emphasized.
For his part, Hossein Amir Abdollahian conveyed greetings from his Iranian counterpart Ebrahim Raisi to the Azerbaijani President. The Iranian Foreign Minister recalled the invitation for the Iranian President to visit Tehran, referring to the meeting and negotiations between the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Iran in the capital of Turkmenistan as a "turning point and a significant development in the relations of the two friendly and brotherly countries."
