The Civil Contract Party Boycotts Yerevan City Council Meeting: Hayk Marutyan Has Good News

The regular meeting of the Yerevan City Council did not take place as the "My Step" and "Prosperous Armenia" factions boycotted the session.

Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan announced that, since there was no quorum, the meeting would be adjourned for half an hour.

"If there is a quorum, we will start the meeting; if not, we will announce that the meeting has not taken place," he said.

Marutyan further mentioned that he has good news for the residents of Yerevan, as today a competition has been announced for 280 elevators. "It turns out that we installed 54 elevators in 2021, which were specially designated for soldiers who became disabled due to the war. A competition for 46 elevators is already in progress, and in total, 520 have already been installed. I had previously stated that we announced a competition for another 100. In fact, in 2022, we will have a completely new set of 1000 elevators," said the mayor.
