Kurdish Youth Brutally Beaten by Racists in Turkey

In the capital of Turkey, Ankara, a Kurdish citizen named Volkan Temel has been brutally attacked by a group of Turkish racists. This is reported by ermenihaber.am.

The Kurdish youth was assaulted with butcher knives, swords, and clubs. The attackers shouted, "Dirty Kurds, Turkoz will become your grave!" Turkoz is the name of the district in Ankara where the attack took place.

Volkan Temel's brother reported that their family has come to Ankara from the Sirnak province and, over the past year, they have continuously received threats from nationalist Turks.

As a result of the attack, Volkan Temel has developed respiratory issues and his face was injured from the blows.

The Kurdish family approached the police, but they were told it would be better to move away from there, as the maximum they could do is subject the attackers to administrative penalties.
