Upper Lars Closed to All Types of Vehicles Due to Avalanche Risk

The Upper Lars border checkpoint on the Georgia-Russia border is closed to all types of vehicles due to avalanche risks, according to the Department of Roads of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia.

According to the report, traffic has been blocked on the international Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Lars road in the sections of Mleta-Gudauri and Gudauri-Kobi due to the danger of avalanches. Currently, it is snowing in the mentioned areas.
