Two of the Ten Soldiers Captured on November 16 Are from Shirak Region: Siranush Sahakyan

On December 19, the individuals who returned home were those soldiers captured on November 16. This was clarified by Siranush Sahakyan, the representative of Armenian prisoners of war in the European Court of Human Rights, in an interview with Tert.am.

“With the mediation of the President of the European Council, Charles Michel, two of the ten soldiers who were captured on November 16 are from the Shirak region,” she said.

In response to a clarifying question regarding the potential return of individuals captured from the vicinity of Khtsaberd, Sahakyan stated, “Currently, there are no new updates regarding their return.”

It is worth noting that the human rights defender also reported today that there are 50 confirmed prisoners in Azerbaijan, with an unofficial count of an additional 80 individuals.
