Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett has announced that the Omicron variant has triggered a fifth wave of coronavirus. This was reported by Эхо Москвы.

He urged Israeli parents to vaccinate their children to slow the spread of the dangerous infection. Since October, the country has allowed vaccinations for children aged five and older.

Starting tomorrow, authorities will expand the list of countries to which Israelis are prohibited from traveling due to the high risk of coronavirus spread. Included on the list are the United States, Turkey, and several European countries.
