Israel Acknowledges Participation in Soleimani's Assassination for the First Time
The former head of Israeli military intelligence, Major General Tamir Hayman, has confirmed Israel's involvement in the assassination of Qassem Soleimani. This was reported today by The Jerusalem Post, as noted by Eadaily.
Hayman addressed Soleimani's assassination in an interview with Malam magazine, which is published by the Israel Intelligence Heritage and Commemoration Center. He stated, “The assassination of Soleimani was of great significance, as our main enemy is Iran... It is rare to find a high-ranking individual who is simultaneously a ground operator, strategist, and fighter… We have interrupted many routes for the transfer of weapons and money, and all of this aims to prevent the Iranians from strengthening their position in Syria,” the Israeli official highlighted.
It is worth recalling that Qassem Soleimani, commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) elite Quds Force, was killed on January 3, 2020.
