First Two Cases of Omicron Variant Infection Registered in Georgia

Georgia has registered its first two cases of infection with the Omicron variant. This was announced by the head of the National Center for Disease Control of Georgia, as reported by Interfax.

Both patients are Georgian citizens who arrived from the USA and Dubai. They are isolated, and the relevant authorities are trying to find their contacts.

According to the Georgian Ministry of Health, 1296 new cases of coronavirus were registered in the country in the last day, and 45 people have died. Tbilisi is considered the epicenter of the virus's spread.
