Cavusoglu on Upcoming Meeting of Special Representatives of Turkey and Armenia
The special representatives of Turkey and Armenia for the normalization of relations may hold a meeting in the near future. This was announced by Turkey's Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu during a joint press conference in Ankara with Malaysia's Foreign Minister Saifuddin Abdullah.
“We have appointed special representatives to start the normalization process. They will conduct negotiations in the near future,” Cavusoglu said, not elaborating on the details of the upcoming meeting.
He also mentioned that the possibility of organizing flights between Yerevan and Istanbul is being considered.
It is worth noting that Ankara has chosen former Turkish ambassador to the USA, Serdar Kilic, as its special representative, while Yerevan has appointed Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Ruben Rubinyan.
