Armenian Authorities Consciously Entering a Process with No Opportunity for Gain, Abrahamyan

The most dangerous aspect of the semi-secret process of "normalizing" Armenian-Turkish relations is not the issue of mediator selection. This was stated by Tigran Abrahamyan, a member of the Armenian National Assembly representing the "I Have Honor" faction, on his Facebook page.

“In the end, if there is a tsunami in the sea, it doesn’t matter whether the person at the epicenter of the disaster knows how to swim or not. The problem is that the Armenian authorities are consciously entering a process where there is no opportunity to win or prevail.

The Armenian government is aware that Turkey is initiating the process with preconditions and, understanding the consequences, is engaging in this venture. This process is accompanied by a propaganda campaign by the authorities, aimed at sidelining security, regional, and geopolitical issues while promoting socioeconomic factors as a way to convince people; one of the effective variant if you will. If there is no security, there will never be prosperity,” wrote Abrahamyan.
